Telehealth Ethics & Digital Practice: Advanced Ethical Decision-Making is a 2-hour continuing education course designed for licensed mental health professionals seeking advanced ethical guidance in telehealth and digital counseling practice.

This course examines complex ethical considerations related to virtual service delivery, including informed consent as an ongoing process, confidentiality and privacy risk mitigation, cultural competence and equity in telehealth access, professional boundaries, documentation, consultation, and ethical decision-making models.

Emphasis is placed on ethical reasoning, professional judgment, and scope-of-practice compliance, rather than clinical intervention or diagnosis. Participants will explore gray-area ethical scenarios commonly encountered in telehealth practice and learn how to document ethical decision-making in a defensible and professionally responsible manner.

This course does not include medical assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, or involuntary decision-making. All content is presented within the professional scope of counseling practice and is designed to meet NBCC Continuing Education requirements.
