Court-ordered classes that hold up in court
Not all online classes are created equal. Some courts have rejected certificates from programs that lack proper credentialing, inadequate documentation, or facilitators whose qualifications are not verifiable. MindLift Academy was built specifically to avoid those problems. Every course is developed and facilitated by credentialed behavioral health professionals — not generic e-learning platforms staffed by unlicensed instructors.
Our certificates include facilitator credentials, course description, learning objectives, format (online self-paced), and the exact number of hours completed. That level of documentation is what attorneys and probation officers actually need when they submit to the court. We have been completing court-ordered requirements for clients across Collin, Dallas, Denton, and Tarrant counties since MindLift’s founding, and we are familiar with what Texas courts expect.
For continuing education, our NBCC-approved courses meet the standards required for Texas LPC renewal through the Texas State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors. Clinical content is developed with practicing therapists and updated to reflect current evidence-based practices in trauma-informed care, cultural competency, and professional ethics.
Court-ordered classes — your questions answered
How do I know which class my court order requires?
Your court order will specify the type of class and the number of hours required. If you are unsure, your attorney or probation officer can clarify the exact requirement. If you have a document from the court but are not sure which of our classes satisfies it, call our office at (972) 855-8183 and a team member will help you identify the correct class before you enroll.
Can I take a class before my court date?
Yes — and in many cases, completing a class before your court date works in your favor. Judges and prosecutors often view proactive completion of a required class as a sign of accountability and genuine willingness to address the underlying behavior. You can enroll and complete a class at any time, and your certificate will be dated with your completion date for submission whenever it is needed.
Are your classes accepted in counties outside Dallas?
Our court-ordered classes are accepted by most Texas courts, including courts in Collin, Dallas, Denton, Tarrant, and surrounding counties. Acceptance by courts outside Texas may vary depending on your jurisdiction’s specific requirements. If you are unsure whether our certificate will be accepted in your county, we recommend confirming with your attorney or probation officer before enrolling. We can also provide documentation about our program upon request.
How long does it take to complete a court-ordered class?
Completion time depends on the course format required by your court order. Our 4-hour anger management course typically takes four to six hours of active engagement including pausing and reviewing material. Our 8-hour, 12-hour, and 16-hour formats are structured in modules — you can complete them in a single sitting or spread them across multiple sessions at your own pace. All progress is automatically saved. There is no deadline to complete a session once enrolled; you can log in and out as many times as needed until the course is finished.
What if my probation officer or attorney needs to verify my enrollment?
We can provide enrollment confirmation and completion documentation directly to your probation officer, attorney, or court representative upon your written request. Once you complete the class, your certificate is available for immediate download. If your legal representative needs a letter on letterhead confirming your participation and the program’s credentials — beyond the certificate itself — contact our office at (972) 855-8183 and we will prepare that documentation within one business day. See our court-ordered classes page for more details on documentation.
