Step-by-Step: Earning Your LPC-S in Texas
Hold a full LPC license in Texas
You must hold an active, unrestricted LPC license — not an LPC Associate license. Your license cannot be under any disciplinary action.
Complete BHEC-approved supervisor training
Texas requires a minimum of 40 hours of supervisor training from a BHEC-approved provider. This training covers supervision models, ethics, documentation, multicultural considerations, and legal responsibilities.
