Couples Therapy
Communication breakdowns, recurring conflicts, and trust repair for couples at all stages — with a practical, skills-focused approach to rebuilding connection.

Clinical expertise meets educational insight.
Joanie’s educational background sets her apart: she understands how children’s emotional challenges manifest in academic environments and how to build coordinated support across home and school. She partners with parents throughout treatment — not just in occasional check-ins, but as active collaborators in building a healthier environment for their child.
She works with children and adolescents to build healthy coping skills, improve emotional regulation, strengthen communication, and develop long-term resilience. For teens, she creates a trusted relationship where hard things can be discussed safely. For parents, she provides guidance, coaching, and tools to reinforce therapy gains at home. When appropriate and consented to, Joanie can coordinate with teachers, school counselors, and other providers to create a consistent support system. Learn about teen therapy at MindLift →
